Founded in 1988 with the publication of Bicycle Guide to Southwestern Ontario—a title that went on to two subsequent printings—Canadian Outdoor Press is an independent publisher based on Manitoulin Island, Ontario.

We publish a carefully curated list of books that explore the natural world, contemplative living, Canadian history, and regional storytelling. Our Mind of Peace imprint is devoted to accessible books on Buddhism and the contemplative life.
